Woman in her 70s taken to hospital after Hartlepool road accident
An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Hartlepool this morning.
Cleveland Police were called to Oxford Road just before 11.30am today.
The lady, who is in her 70s, was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees by ambulance to be checked over.
Officers remained at the scene, speaking with witnesses and establishing the circumstances around the collision.
