AS England get set to launch their World Cup campaign, we’re hoping to drum up some dogged support for Roy Hodgson’s troops.

In the last World Cup in South Africa, scores of Mail readers backed our Pedigree Chums campaign, where we encouraged people to dress up their pets in England gear.

It’s just over two weeks until the competition kicks off, and we’re all hoping England can progress through the knockout stages and set their sights on a final in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, July 13.

With the domestic season now over and the trophies all handed out, World Cup fever is well and truly gripping us now.

We’d love you to send us your photographs of your dog getting involved in the excitement, just like Mail reader Michelle Stonehouse has with her bulldogs Sonny and Uno.

Michelle, who lives with husband Dave, and their three bulldogs – Sonny, Uno and Rosie – said: “We’re really looking forward to the World Cup, and keeping our fingers crossed that England do well.

“I thought they looked lovely with all their England gear on.

“We have decorated the garden as well with some flags on the trees.

“We will be following England’s progress in our house and have the matches on.

“Even the dogs are getting into the spirit of it.

“Hopefully, the team can show some real bulldog spirit and do well.”

If your hound howls like Hart, barks at Baines or scampers like Sturridge, we’d love to hear from you.
