Can’t we do any better?

What kind of system is it that allows a person of 80-plus to die of starvation or dehydration, in their own home and on their own?

Lying, waiting for the end, not even able to drink or use the commode provided by the system.

It is a bad thing to witness for anyone who is nearing their end.

Is this the best that can be done, before she dies of a water infection?

Have I got the wrong century?

I know people who have had more treatment for a cold.

Perhaps I don’t know all of the facts involved but I wonder what the general NHS policy is?
