Drug trials can save cash

Anything that can save money for the NHS and reduce the very high cost of prison places must be welcomed.

I understand in Holland advances have been made using acupuncture to cure Class A drug addiction. Is it right? In Mexico, Canada and Holland the drug Ibogaine has been claimed to have startling levels of success in curing drug addiction.

Whilst one must remain cautious of miracle cures, as the potential benefits in saving to taxpayers are so great, surely we must go our own way in running trials in our prisons at least, mustn’t we?
