People should be made aware that voting to leave the EU on June 23 will not reduce immigration, certainly in the immediate short term.
It will have the opposite effect.
Many Britons, like me, took a decision not to have children because, either they didn’t think they could afford any or they felt there were enough people in the world already.
Tony Blair decided he was going to allow into Britain many millions of adults from elsewhere, to replace the children people like me never had.
The economy of this country is bigger as a result, and it is growing faster as a result, generating more jobs and tax revenue to fund public services and pensions.
The remain campaign dares not defend Blair’s actions because his decision to do this to us, without even asking, was so enormously arrogant.
The most that can be done after the vote on June 23, if we vote to leave, is to give all those European passport holders already living here UK passports. This will distinguish them from the Europeans still living on the continent.
Giving away UK passports to Europeans will make most Brexit voters very angry.
Immigration will rise after the referendum if we vote to leave.
Many 100,000s of Europeans will migrate to Britain just after June 23 if they think the door is closing for good.
Britain has long been seen by many Europeans as a stepping stone to their ultimate dream.
Life in America, Canada or Australia.
Many arrive and decide to stay permanently.
Life is good here.
Many immigrants leave the US and come back to Britain when they find life over there is so hard.
