More u-turns over hospital

So Hartlepool Borough Council’s leader is going to write to the Health Secretary to protest about North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust asking for £50m to upgrade the University Hospital of North Tees instead of the University Hospital of Hartlepool.

Is this the same council leader who, along with several members of his council, actually went to see the Health Secretary?

They asked him for more than £90m (after reducing it from the initial £150m that Labour promised before losing the 2010 election) so that the trust could close our hospital in favour of Labour’s dream hospital on the Wynyard estate, because it was what the people of Hartlepool wanted.

Between the Labour-dominated council and our MP, they do more u-turns than Andy Burnham.
