Showing a united front

Well done Hartlepool Borough Council Leader, Councillor Christopher Akers-Belcher (Mail, November 25).

I wholeheartedly support your desire to seek a meeting with Mr Cameron to discuss the unfair cuts for Hartlepool that, in my view, amount to nothing more than public sector vandalism.

In the interests of solidarity I know you would welcome all councillors’ support, both verbally and physically.

Such a show of unity would put a strong message to the PM.

So, if diaries allow, I assume you would have no objection to your fellow councillors joining you for the meeting with Mr Cameron.

I know I would be delighted to stand shoulder to shoulder with you and all elected members in taking the fight to the PM.
