Society on look out for heroes

The National Autistic Society is looking for local autism heroes.

We want local people on the autism spectrum, their friends, families and carers to nominate the individuals and services that have made a difference to their lives for the Autism Professionals Awards 2016.

We’d also like to hear from local professionals, such as teachers or psychologists, about good autism practice.

The awards are the one time the autism community gets together every year to recognise their achievements and share best practice.

Perhaps you know a passionate volunteer or a social worker who has gone out of their way to support an autistic adult to improve their social skills.

Or maybe there’s a teacher or teaching assistant who has developed innovative ways to give your child the best possible start in life.

Whatever your story, please share it with us.

You can find out more about the awards, or nominate an individual or service, by visiting www.autismprofessionalsawards.co.uk

The deadline for nominations is October 30.
