I think it is nice to hear a happy story, so I am sharing this with your readers.
Recently, I took my little dog for a short walk across the road.
I noticed what appeared to be a child’s bag with papers hanging out.
Coming back I gave it a prod with my stick.
It was a gentleman’s wallet containing £140 in notes, cash cards, bank statements and a driving licence.
The police came and collected it for me.
I was so pleased when a lovely young man came the next day to thank me.
He brought me some flowers and biscuits, saying he was so grateful.
I told him that that was all that matters, to come and say thank you.
It made my day.
