I’M not sure I understand the headline, 35 hospital managers are facing axe (Mail, September 21).
It goes on to say senior staff at the North Tees Trust were given the news.
Are these managers working hospital managers, ie nursing staff, or are they white collar workers employed in the trust itself?
If so it’s obviously top heavy and has been so for a long time.
The trust is a recent conception and the bill for 35 senior managers is catastrophic when you think how many skilled nurses we could have for the same cost.
