Wellies worn for shopping?

What a welcoming sight for any prospective new tenants looking at Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.

Yellow safety barriers placed around dozens of plastic boxes and buckets catching rainwater from the roof.

Not just in one place, but all over the shopping centre, both upstairs and downstairs.

This is not a one-off. It has been happening for a few years now.

How long before we have to start going to town wearing a pair of wellies, oilskins and sou’westers when it rains?

They really must do better.
