Zombies are set to take over Harltepool town centre once again this Saturday.
But don’t worry. They will not be out for flesh but for charity collections.
The second annual Nightmare in Hartlepool Zombie Walk will start at 2pm outside Flix Movie Cafe, in Church Square, before heading for the shopping centre.
It is the brainchild of town man Ellis Stewart, though he is taking a back seat from organising the popular event as he is concentrating on a bid to climb Mount Everest and an organising committee, including people who took part last year, has been formed.
Ellis, who lives on the Bishop Cuthbert estate, said: “It’s time to get the undead back on the streets of Hartlepool for the second annual Nightmare in Hartlepool Zombie Walk.’’
This year proceeds will go to Bradley Lowery’s Fight Against Neuroblastoma, in aid of two-year-old Bradley, from Blackhall.
