Durham Jets are through to the NatWest T20 Blast finals day at Edgbaston on August 20.

Paul Collingwood’s side, who only finished fourth in the North Division qualifiers, stunned South Division winners Gloucestershire with a 19-run triumph at Bristol tonight.

Durham posted a daunting 180-5 in their innings, led by opener Mark Stoneman’s 41-ball 61, which included five fours and two sixes.

Keaton Jennings added 36 and Michael Richardson 37, off just 21 balls, with three sixes.

Gloucestershire suffered a nightmare start to their chase, falling to 6-2 as Mark Wood struck twice.

Only Jack Taylor, with a 41-ball knock of 80, handled the Durham bowlers and when he was dismissed, run out off the final ball of the penultimate over, the Jets could celebrate an excellent all-round team performance.

Gloucestershire were all out for 161.

Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire are also through to the finals day, with Glamorgan hosting Yorkshire in Thursday’s last quarter-final.
