DURHAM ace Gareth Breese would love nothing more than a trip to the home of cricket this season.
Victory over Somerset at Taunton in the semi-final of the Pro40 at Taunton tomorrow would see the men from the Emirates ICG book their place in a final at Lords.
Breese knows that’s no easy task, but he admits it would be a wonderful way for Durham to bring down the curtain on their 2011 campaign.
He said: “This has been the furthest we have got in one-day cricket for a long time, so we are really looking forward to the game, and hopefully to getting to Lords at the end of it.
“It’s always great to play at Lords, but to play in a game of this magnitude would be amazing.
“It brings the curtain down on the cricket season in England, so it is a massive match and one I’m sure anybody would love to play in.”
But he added: “Somerset are a very good batting side, so we know we will have to perform very well.”
