40 years of FA Cup third round history for Hartlepool United: A thriller against Leeds United, a valiant display at Sunderland and success over Stoke City – a look back at Pools' last 10 third round ties ahead of Oxford United clash

Hartlepool United are currently shaping up to play their 11th FA Cup third round tie in the last 41-years as they visit Oxford United on Saturday afternoon (3:01pm kick-off).

Pools will be looking to reach the fourth round for only the seventh time in their 112 year history and equal their best ever FA Cup performance.

Standing in their way is League One high flyers Oxford, who have lost just three of their last 24 matches in all competitions. One of those defeats came in the EFL Cup quarter final against Manchester City as they were beaten 3-1 by the Premier League champions.
