After finishing fourth in the National League to secure a play-off eliminator place, Pools went on to beat Bromley and Stockport County before edging past Torquay United on penalties in the promotion final.
As a result, Hartlepool fans can look forward to a season back in the Football League for the first time in four years.

1. David Parkhouse - 5.43 (7 ratings)
Remember him? David Parkhouse arrived on loan from Sheffield United at the start of the season but really struggled to settle at Victoria Park. Off field issues and poor form ultimately limited his impact at Pools as he left the club in December after scoring twice in nine appearances and joined Derry City. Photo: Mark Fletcher
2. Harvey Saunders - 5.5 (2 ratings)
Was never given enough time to make an impact at Pools during the latter stages of the season after arriving on loan from Fleetwood Town. Started just two games and Pools lost them both. Looked lively but never seen again following a knee injury. Now at Bristol Rovers. Photo: Mark Fletcher
3. Mason Bloomfield - 5.69 (13 ratings)
Yet another striker who struggled at Pools this season. Hopes were high for the physically imposing Bloomfield to lead Pools' attacking line. While his hold up play was decent, his lack of goals was apparent as he ended the campaign with just three goals to his name, playing his last game on March 13. Now released. Photo: FRANK REID 2020
4. Claudio Ofosu - 5.8 (10 ratings)
After a prolific pre-season, Pools looked to have unearthed a gem in Claudio Ofosu following his arrival from Royston Town last summer. He quickly got off the mark in a 4-0 win over Maidenhead in the opening week of the season but that would prove to be his first and last goal for the club. The winger was ultimately frozen out of the first team plans and made just one substitute cameo in 2021 prior to his release. Photo: FRANK REID 2019
