1. Ryan Shotton

2. Patrick Bamford

3. David Nugent
Despite spending just 18 months at the Riverside, Nugent was a popular figure at Boro after helping the club win promotion to the Premier League in 2016. He left for Derby shortly after and was an important player for the Rams. Photo: Nathan Stirk
4. Jacob Butterfield
Signed by Tony Mowbray from Norwich in 2013, the central midfielder showed flashes of promise during his single season at the Riverside. He left Boro the following summer and ended up at Derby, via Huddersfield, before spending four years at Pride Park. Photo: Alex Pantling
