Every Hartlepool United player ranked and rated 30 games into the 2020-21 season – former Newcastle United defender shines as captain struggles

Hartlepool United are now two thirds of their way through the season following Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Altrincham – but which players have stood out this campaign?

Dave Challinor’s side have played 27 league matches plus two in the FA Cup and one in the FA Trophy, totalling 30 out of a scheduled 45.

It’s been an impressive campaign for Pools so far as they find themselves second in the National League table and with a genuine chance of promotion for the first time in 14 years.

And we’ve compiled each Pools player’s individual match rating from every match in which they have played at least 15-minutes to work out the average rating for each player in the squad.

In this instance, we have included every player who has been awarded at least 10 match ratings so far this campaign. This rules out, Tom White (average rating 6.8), Henrich Ravas (6.75), Luke Williams (6.66), Josh MacDonald (6.33), Joe Bunney (6), David Parkhouse (5.43), Jake Cooper, Brad Young, Aaron Cunningham and Adam Campbell (all n/a) from being formally ranked.
