Hartlepool FC welcome the return of influential midfielder Kyle McDermott tomorrow night when they face troubled Darlington.

The Durham Challenge Cup second round tie against the crisis-hit Quakers (7pm kick off), being played at Norton & Stockton Ancients Station Road ground, will see Pool pit their wits against the Blue Square Premier outfit – with several players returning.

As aforementioned McDermott returns after a two-month lay off, while young trio Luke Naylor, Jack Nixon and Dale Campion are also available to boss Chris Lax.

Striker Scott Hine is fit and he is likely to be joined up front by new signing Jon Christie and Shaun Ross.

Liam Robson is cup-tied after his move from Wolviston over the Christmas period, while Jonathan Bolton is also absent.
