The 26-year-old forward has seen his first team opportunities limited at Pools so far this season with just three starts to his name, the most recent of which coming back in August at Chorley.

And the forward was made available for a short term loan move last month which attracted interest from Hemel Hempstead.

The Tudors, who currently sit seventh in the National League South, had agreed to take Muir on loan over a week ago but Hartlepool’s FA Cup second round replay against Exeter City kept the forward at the club for a bit longer as manager Dave Challinor wanted attacking options on the bench.

On Wednesday, Hartlepool secured a loan move for midfielder Mark Shelton from Salford City with further additions expected going into a busy festive period.
