The two time National League player of the year and golden boot winner has been linked with moves to the Football League due to his goalscoring exploits at non-league level yet nothing has materialised.

Now with just half a season remaining on his contract with Fylde, the 29-year-old has been transfer listed at his own request.

“I had the best goalscorer at this level yet to date he’s not gone to a Football League club, why is that?” Challinor questioned following Tuesday night’s win over Eastleigh.

“What are they looking for? If somebody scored 160 goals in five seasons and a Football League club is not taking them then I’m thinking why that is and maybe I need to do something a little bit different.”
