The hosts named a strong side featuring several first team players as well as legend Dimi Konstantopoulos who agreed a non-contract deal ahead of the match.
Tow Law rarely threatened as Pools ought to have won more comfortably in the end but settled for the 3-0 win. Scroll down and click through the pages to see the player ratings from the match...
1. Dimi Konstantopoulos - 7
Had little to do apart from make one excellent diving save from a close range header. Made several comfortable claims and his distribution was good throughout the evening as he marked his return to Victoria Park with a clean sheet. Photo: Frank Reid
2. Coleby Shepherd - 7
Always positive on the ball and striving to get forward down the right side. Photo: Frank Reid
3. Harrison Webster - 6
Another attack minded wing-back as he got into some promising areas and looked confident on the ball but was often wasteful when in the final third. Photo: Frank Reid
4. Oliver Thompson - 5
The young centre-back gave away possession cheaply on a number of occasions but will hopefully learn a lot from the experience and come back stronger. Can take the positive of keeping a clean sheet. Photo: Paul Thomas
