Lewis Alessandra: Good game. Picture by FRANK REID

Joe Fryer: Made a couple of decent saves at his near post in second half but otherwise not a massive amount to do. 6

Liam Donnelly: ‘Took one for the team’ when booked for stopping Samuel in the first half and made two vital tackles/ blocks in his own box. 7

Brad Walker: Another Saturday afternoon stroll for the centre-half, good on the deck and air. Went close to scoring. 7

Scott Harrison: Ditto for Scott’s partner in crime, another excellent game. 7

Nicky Deverdics: Retained at left-back after a good game there the previous week and impressed again. Looks as if he has played there all his life. 7

Nicky Featherstone: Superb again in front of the back four and always seemed available for a team-mate to pass to. 7

Michael Woods: Really positive in the middle and always looking to push forward, only for that last ball to let him down. 6

Lewis Hawkins: A similar assessment for his comrade above, very busy and always there or thereabouts but final ball did not match his endeavour. 6

Lewis Alessandra: Stunning turn and shot for the goal as he continued his good run of form. Unlucky not to score one or two more. Pools’ principal threat. 8

Padraig Amond: Caused numerous problems for the home defence and should have had a goal in the second half. 7

Nathan Thomas: Had a couple of decent bids late on and set up Amond with a good chance but was not at his sharpest. 6

Louis Rooney (for Woods 84) On too late to make an impact. N/A
