Our Pools writer, Dominic Scurr, has dished out his marks after the showing at the Shay – with some low numbers. Scroll down and click through the pages to see how he rated the individual performances:
1. Ben Killip - 5
Still not convincing and a lack of communication with his centre-backs is a worry. Charged way out of his goal and was nearly caught out. Should have done better for Halifax’s opener, parry made it easy for Staunton to finish. Made a good save in the build-up to the second but couldn’t keep out the rebound once again. Photo: FRANK REID
2. Peter Kioso - 5
Was beaten too easily as Halifax came close to scoring in the first half. Still a threat down the right with some teasing crosses into the box in the first half. Photo: Mark Fletcher
3. Fraser Kerr - 5
Looked shaky and couldn’t stop The Shaymen netting two more soft goals. Photo: Mark Fletcher
4. Michael Raynes - 5
Was strong in the air as always but caught out on the ground on occasion as an air-kick nearly led to Halifax scoring, thankfully he recovered well enough. Outpaced for the opening goal. Photo: Mark Fletcher
