Hartlepool United have been handed a boost on the eve of the new season - after Ronnie Moore and Sam Collins signed their new deals.
The management duo have been in talks with the club’s owners JPNG over the summer and put pen to paper on their new long-term deals on Friday afternoon ahead of the Morecambe match on Saturday.
Moore’s old deal was due to run out in December and new chairman Gary Coxall pledged to tie him down to an extended deal when JPNG took charge of the club in the summer.
Coxall tweeted: “I think we’ve just made our two best signings!”
SportMail revealed on Thursday that Moore was hoping to sign the new deal before the weekend and it has now been confirmed.
Moore, speaking on Thursday, said: “Everything has been sorted, I just need to speak to the chairman.
“I would imagine that would be done before Saturday.”
The length of the new deals have not been confirmed, a policy used by Pools.
