Former Hartlepool United defender Dan Jones has signed for League Two rivals Grimsby Town.
Grimsby have confirmed the left-back has moved to Blundell Park on a one-year deal following his release from Pools at the end of last season.
A club statement read: "We are pleased to announce that that former Hartlepool defender Dan Jones has signed on a one-year deal.
"He's a product of Hartlepool United's youth system, having previously been at Sunderland's Academy for four years."
Jones, who turned professional in 2013 and made his first team debut a year later, played a key role in the side under Ronnie Moore as Pools pulled off the Great Escape in 2014-15.
The 21-year-old, who made 41 appearances for Pools, becomes Paul Hurst's second signing in two days.
Town won promotion from the National League last term and Jones will now link-up with his new team-mates as they return to the EFL for the first time in six years.
Pools and Grimsby have been involved in three transfers this summer after Craig Hignett signed striker Padraig Amond and central defender Toto Nsiala from the Mariners.
