Hartlepool United boss Ronnie Moore made four changes for tonight’s Johnstone’s Paints Trophy tie against Sheffield United.

Billy Paynter, Michael Woods and Carl Magnay were all ruled out, joining Matthew Bates and Brad Walker on the sidelines.

Harry Worley came into defence and was handed the skipper’s armband, while there were starts for Dan Jones, Lewis Hawkins and Scott Fenwick.

Sheffield United boss Nigel Adkins named just two of the side who started Saturday’s 2-0 win at Swindon in League One, though all five men on the bench this evening played at the County Ground.
