Hartlepool United have completed their second signing of the day, striking a deal for Chester City captain Luke George.
Former Wales Under-21 international Jake Cassidy put pen to paper at the Northern Gas & Power Stadium earlier, and George has followed suit this afternoon.
George is a combative midfielder, who will add steel to the Pools ranks.
The 24-year-old Liverpudlian played 24 times for City last season in the National League, scoring once.
Previous to that he spent time in the fifth tier with Southport
Confirming the signing, a club statement said: "The boss has been keeping tabs on the Liverpool-born star for a long period of time and he immediately became a target once he was appointed to the job at Pools."
And the two deals might not be the end at the Vic, with a number of other players lined up as boss Craig Harrison eyes a complete overhaul of the squad which suffered relegation from the Football League last season.
