HARTLEPOOL United boss Ronnie Moore says he is delighted to tie down the futures of teenage duo Kieran Green and Connor Smith.
The pair have both agreed terms on professional deals with the club and will officially become professionals on July 1.
Green, 18, has been with Pools since Under-15 level and made an impact with the first team after travelling with the senior squad to Spain in pre-season.
Smith, 17, can operate on the wing or up front and has already tasted first team football.
Moore said: “They’re both good players and, importantly, they both have fantastic attitudes.
“We’ve told them that they’ve worked hard to earn the reward of a professional contract but now they have to work even harder to continue their development with the first team.
“They’re both exciting prospects, there’s no doubt about that, and if they keep on listening to the advice they’re given then we’re confident they can become important players for this club.”
