HARTLEPOOL United boss Colin Cooper has praised the massive blue and white army who invaded York at the weekend.
Pools were supported by more than 1,700 travelling fans and the manager admitted it would have been nice to send them home with a first victory of the new season.
“I thank every single fan who came – they got behind us and, attacking their end, I would have loved to have nicked one to send them home happy,” he told SportMail.
“But they were brilliant and deserved a win to celebrate.
“Hopefully we can give them that on Saturday.”
