HARTLEPOOL United defender Stuart Parnaby has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
Parnaby had surgery on his patella tendon injury and club officials have confirmed he now faces a nine-month rehabilitation programme on the road back to fitness.
The 32-year-old former Middlesbough and Birmingham City right-back was signed by Colin Cooper in the summer.
He has made just five appearances this season and hasn’t featured since being substituted in the 5-1 league defeat away to Northampton Town in September.
Parnaby, who has also spent time on loan at Halifax in the past, has played a total of 220 appearances in his career to date.
