Hartlepool United face fixture backlog as Leyton Orient game postponed for second time

Hartlepool United's home clash with Leyton Orient has been postponed for a second time.

As a result Pools are facing an end of season fixture pile up, with two games yet to have a date and the National League season set to end in little more than eight weeks.

Orient's progress in the FA Trophy saw the first encounter put back to Tuesday, March 6 at Victoria Park, but will also have to been rescheduled.

The O's have been informed that they must play their FA Trophy fourth round replay against Gateshead that evening, hence the Pools game being knocked back.

No date has been set for the match.

It does mean Pools fixtures are starting to stack up.

They have just eight weeks to fit in their 12 remaining fifth tier games.

Their recent game with Barrow was also called off, due to a waterlogged pitch. A date is yet been set for the trip to Cumbria.
