Hartlepool United have sold Lewis Alessandra to join Notts County for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old joined Pools from Rochdale last summer and became a permanent fixture in the side as one of the forward line.
Alessandra scored nine goals and had numerous assists in his 50 appearances, which included 43 starts.
The skilful forward, who scored a number of stunners, incuding a double in the home win over Exeter, had attracted interest from a number of clubs, but Magpies boss Kevin Nolan has won the race for his signature.
His departure to Meadow Lane comes on a day Pools were set to make Welsh Premier League winning-boss Craig Harrison their new manager.
One of Harrison's first tasks will be to find attacking players given Pools have sold last season's joint second top scorers, Nathan Thomas to Sheffield United, and now Alessandra.
