Hartlepool United boss Ronnie Moore has secured the services of Andrew Boyce for a further month.
Moore explained after the 0-0 draw against Cambridge that he wanted to keep the Scunthorpe United central defender.
Now, the paperwork has been completed and Boyce will remain at Victoria Park for another four weeks.
The central defender joined Pools from the Iron in August following an injury to Harry Worley and made his debut immediately at Stevenage after Matthew Bates limped off with an injury.
Boyce has been an almost-permanent fixture since.
Worley reclaimed his position in the Johnstone’s Paints Trophy tie against Sheffield United with Boyce not allowed to play in that fixture.
But Moore preferred Boyce to Worley at Exeter and the 6ft 4in Yorkshireman has been paired with Scott Harrison at St James Park and against the U’s.
