Hartlepool United have offered a first professional deal to young winger Jack Blackford.
The 17-year-old – who had a trial at Manchester City earlier in the season – has impressed for the youth team.
Blackford has caught the eye of several higher division clubs in recent months and Pools have moved to tie him down.
The talented youngster travelled with the first-team squad for their recent midweek game at Notts County.
Meanwhile, Pools have also exercised third-year extensions for fellow youth team stars Aaron Cunningham, Dylan Elliott, Jordan Jewson, Nat Skidmore and Jack Turnbull.
