Hartlepool United’s Antony Sweeney wants his 15th goal of season against Charlton Athletic

ANTONY Sweeney is hoping to chalk up his best-ever seasonal goals tally as part of a victorious campaign finale at Charlton Athletic tomorrow.

The dual Player of the Season winner needs just one more effort to take him to 15 for the year, bettering his total from the play-off campaign of 2004/05.

Sweeney was rewarded for his fine scoring form when he landed both the supporters’ and players’ yearly awards prior to last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

But, away from the joy of his individual accolades, Sweeney is concerned that a run of one win in nine could see an otherwise successful season end on a flat note.
