MICKY Barron admits it would be rich of him to ask his suspension-threatened players to tread carefully during the festive fixtures.
Both Gary Liddle and Evan Horwood – with four bookings to their name – are teetering on the brink of a one-game ban.
One more caution between now and the end of February would trigger such a scenario, as it did with Peter Hartley last week.
But Pools caretaker coach Barron – a defender never known as a retiring type during his playing days – says he won’t be telling his men to modify their game while he remains in charge.
“I would be a hypocrite if I said ‘don’t get any yellow cards’,” he laughed.
