MICK Wadsworth will call on his senior pros to help kickstart Hartlepool United’s reserve-team campaign, writes CRAIG HOPE.

Micky Barron’s second-string have slipped to three straight defeats so far this season, all against lower-league opposition, and welcome Hull City to Billingham Town’s Bedford Terrace this afternoon (kick-off 2pm).

They will be aided by several first-team members for the visit of the Tigers.

Evan Horwood, back from a two-week thigh absence, Colin Larkin, James Brown, Steve Haslam, James Poole and Nathan Luscombe will feature for the League Cup clash and Wadsworth is hoping for a much-improved display.

“These reserve games are very important to us,” Wadsworth, who takes a keen interest in reserve-team affairs, told SportMail today.
