There was a big boost for the ‘In The Squad’ Season Ticket drive on yesterday afternoon when Steve Craven put pen to paper to become the 200th summer signing.
Handyman Steve, originally from Yorkshire, adopted Pools as his local club when he moved to Billingham and he’s looking forward to a fifth successive season on the books.
He joined our squad by snapping up a Season Ticket for the Cyril Knowles Stand, where he will sit with his daughter Emily, 14, during the 2017/18 campaign.
“How could I not come and follow Pools when I only live a few miles down the road now?”, he commented after concluding the paperwork on his deal to see him handed squad number 200.
“I’ve heard a lot of people talking about wanting a proven manager in – well, we’ve got one because Craig Harrison won trophies time and time again in the Welsh League.
“I think it’s a very positive appointment by the club and I am now really looking forward to seeing which players he tries to sign in the coming weeks.
“I would love to see us pushing for promotion back to the EFL in the new season – we have to go and give it a right good go and I’m feeling hopeful.”
Pools have frozen Season Ticket terms for the 2017/18 campaign in the hope of attracting the strongest squad possible – both on and off the pitch.
Renewal letters will arrive with existing Season Ticket holders in the next week and fans will have until Friday, June 16, to guarantee their same seats.
Pools have once again teamed-up with Zebra Finance to allow supporters to spread the cost of their Season Tickets and make it as easy as possible to follow the team during the new season.
Fans can buy their Season Tickets online from www.hufc-tickets.co.uk or from the Ticket Office at The Northern Gas and Power Stadium, with Early Bird prices available until Friday, June 30.
