Hartlepool United have made their second signing in the space of 24-hours with the arrival of Crystal Palace midfielder Jake Gray.
Gray arrives at Victoria Park on a month's youth loan, he follows in the footsteps of centre back Adam Jackson who signed from Middlesbrough yesterday.
After signing a new deal with Palace in the summer, Gray has been on the fringes of their first team squad this season.
Pools boss Ronnie Moore has been desperate to add a central midfielder to his ranks and Gray is described as a box-to-box midfielder who will bring energy to the side.
The 19-year-old has joined up with the Pools squad for training on Thursday morning and will be available for Saturday’s FA Cup match with Cheltenham Town this weekend.
The game will see him come up against some familiar faces as Gray spent time on loan at Cheltenham Town last season, making three appearances for the club.
The club has confirmed he will wear squad number 30 for Pools.
Gray, who has scored seven goals in 12 under-21 outings for Palace this season, could play a maximum of five games during his month at Victoria Park.
Gray has played twice for the Palace first-team so far in his career, with both coming as a substitute in last season's Capital One Cup fixtures against Walsall and Newcastle United, but he has also been named on the bench for some Premier League fixtures this term.
