HARTLEPOOL United will not appeal against the red card given to Sam Collins during Easter Monday’s 2-0 defeat at Southampton, WRITES CRAIG HOPE.
The 33-year-old will now definitely miss this Saturday’s home clash with Bournemouth but will return for the season finale at Charlton Athletic seven days later.
Collins was banished to the away-team dressing room following a second-half tangle with Rickie Lambert.
The half was only four minutes old when the Saints striker wriggled the wrong side of the visiting skipper inside the penalty area.
