“BRING it on”.

That was the message from Neale Cooper today as he prepared for the high-stakes clash with promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.

And the Pools boss has challenged his players to “make their mark” by getting a result from a game which is sure to have the attention of the league’s top clubs.

“It’s more exciting being involved in a game of this magnitude at this stage of the season,” Cooper told SportMail.

“It’s the sort of test you want and it’s a chance for us to make a mark by getting a result in a big game.

“Bring it on – it’ll be a full house, hopefully the weather will be good and the lads will be fired up for it.”

He went on: “It’s probably too much for us to get up to the play-offs now, but we don’t want to be sucked towards the bottom either.

“I still want to sit higher than 11th and to do that we need wins – there’s no reason why this game can’t be one of them.”
