COLIN Nish looks set to remain at Hartlepool United despite interest from north of the border, writes CRAIG HOPE.

SPL duo St Johnstone and Kilmarnock have both enquired about the possibility of a loan move for the Scottish striker, who is down the pecking order at Victoria Park.

But Pools boss Neale Cooper today told SportMail: “I got a phone call from St Johnstone originally, but they came back and had signed someone else.

“Kilmarnock spoke to me last week about him going on loan until January, but then I got a call saying they couldn’t do it.

“But I’m not pushing him out.

“He’s from up the road and so is his wife, but it never happened.”
