ANTONY Sweeney says that he and his family will again be getting behind the Hartlepool United season-ticket initiative by snapping up their seats as soon as possible.
Pools rolled out their new £155 offer earlier this week with the promise of one lucky fan landing a £15,000 jackpot should they again top 5,000 sales.
And Sweeney admits it’s only right that the players support the club.
“Last season most of the lads ended up buying a couple of season tickets, be it for partners, mums and dads or aunties and uncles,” he explained.
“It’s right that we do support the schemes and buy tickets.
“All of my family got one last year and so did my girlfriend’s family and they’ll be renewing again – my mum and dad haven’t missed a home game for 10 years or so.
“Everyone you know seems to have a ticket now and that’s great – it means there’s no longer the mad scramble on matchdays for me to find them!”
