HARTLEPOOL United have confirmed their reserve-team fixtures for the coming season.
Micky Barron’s men will kick off their campaign with a home match against Gateshead on Wednesday, August 24.
Pools will continue to use Billingham Town’s Ron Grieg Stadium for second-string matches.
And, other than the fixture with Middlesbrough in March, all games will kick off at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
The first away match of the season is a trip to West Yorkshire to take on Bradford City on Tuesday, September 6 (kick off 2pm).
The first meeting with Middlesbrough will be at the home of Billingham Synthonia on Tuesday, November 8 (kick off 2pm).
And former Boro youth player Barron is looking forward to the new season.
“We’ve got a very good crop of young players now who are on the fringe of the first team,” he told SportMail.
“The likes of Darren Holden, Callum Hassan, Paul Johnson, Jordan Richards, Josh Rowbotham and Jordan Mellish have all been involved this summer and will be looking to make an impression this year.
“They’ll do that by working hard in training and catching the eye for the reserves, so it promises to be a good season for us and we can’t wait now to get started.”
