Jeff Stelling has thanked Hartlepool United fans for their continuing support - with season ticket sales steadily rising.
Pools' club president is delighted to see the club back on firm footing after joining forces with Raj Singh to help take-over the club earlier this year.
The Sky Sports presenter knows how important the club is to the town and - after being on the brink last season - Stelling now wants Pools to repay the faith that the fans showed through testing times.
Season ticket sales for Pools' second season in the National League have already passed the 500 mark with fans taking advantage of an adult price freeze and free tickets for under-12s.
And Stelling is overjoyed with the response to the offers as the club's new regime look to push forward.
“I’m really encouraged that the fans have come out and supported us in this sort of way,” Stelling told the club's official website.
“Especially after the season we had last year, it’s brilliant that people are still willing to part with their hard-earned cash to back the Club.
“Obviously we’ve done our bit by freezing prices and offering free kids tickets but what the response tells you is that people have realised just how close we were to losing the football club and just how important it is to them.
“It’s still the heartbeat of the town and when that heart almost stopped beating at the end of last season I think it’s made everyone more determined, fans included, that it’s never going to happen again.
“From an owners and Club point of view, all I can do is thank them and hope that many more do the same thing – and when the season gets underway we can show them that their faith has not been misplaced.”
