HARTLEPOOL United have signed England youth striker Ryan Donaldson on a one-month loan deal from Newcastle United, as revealed in Monday's SportMail.
The 19-year-old, who can also operate in midfield, could make his debut when Notts County visit Victoria Park tomorrow night.
Pools boss Mick Wadsworth, who has connections within St.James' Park, has moved to bolster his attacking options having watched his side go 381 minutes with a goal – the latest blank coming during Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Peterborough United.
And Wadsworth told SportMail: "Ryan is someone I've seen play for England and like the look of – he's a goalscorer with good pedigree at youth level and is a very exciting prospect.
"We'll have a look at him for a month and vice-versa but hopefully it'll work out and the deal can be beneficial to both parties."
