MICK Wadsworth will today put his players through a “DVD nasty” following last night’s horror show at Oldham Athletic.

The Pools squad could be peering through their fingers at the X-rated takeouts which Wadsworth intends to screen in a bid to wipe out the errors which are costing the team dear.

It’s six without a win now for Pools in the league and they’re fast getting dragged into an unwanted relegation scrap.

This latest reverse was littered with individual errors and, as a result, Wadsworth told SportMail it won’t be a case of simply brushing the performance under the carpet.

“Sometimes you say just forget about it (a result) but sometimes you need to look at things which are consistently going wrong and that’s what a coach does,” he said following the 4-0 defeat.

“We’ll look at the DVD and show them the bits that were important - it may be that we look at a lot more of it than we normally do.

“It’s a case of asking why? Looking at the stats, looking at the DVD and from that looking at individual performances and the group performance.

“Is the back four doing their job? Is the midfield getting it right? Are we getting enough from the front players?

“All those things we have to question and we’ll have to look at that for sure.

“But I haven’t got a magic wand – it’s about hard work and being honest with each other and seeing what’s gone wrong in this period.

“We’ve got to piece that all together and make some decisions.

“Myself, Ritchie (Humphreys) and Micky (Barron) will look at all that and come up with a way of getting ourselves out of it.”
