PAUL Murray refused to dwell on the disappointment of Saturday’s defeat against MK Dons but admitted it was a “crazy” defensive blunder which cost them dear.
An all-too-forgettable first half had looked as if it was about to drift towards a goalless conclusion until The Dons launched a hopeful ball downfield.
Evan Horwood attempted to chest back to keeper Scott Flinders only to undercook his effort allowing visiting winger Daniel Powell to steal in and score the game’s only goal.
“They’ve only gone into our box five or six times and have won the game with a mistake from Evan – it wasn’t good and he’s got to cut that out of his game,” the straight-talking Murray told SportMail.
“It was just a crazy decision and it was never on to chest it back – he could have got away with a header.
“But Evan’s been a top player for us this season and mistakes do happen.”
