Ronnie Moore thinks the ‘class of 92’ have done a fantastic job at Salford City – but says he’d be more worried if they were playing tonight.

The Evo Stik Northern Premier Division side are co-owned by Nicky Butt, Ryan Giigs, the Neville brothers, Gary and Phil, and Paul Scholes.

Those players might be there at the ground but they can’t influence the game.

The Man United legends are the public face of the Manchester club owned by billionaire businessman, Peter Lim.

“It’s fantastic what they’ve done,” said Moore on the subject of the ‘class of 92’.

“I watched the TV programme about them, it was brilliant.

“I am not sure Gary Neville will be there, I think he has more important things to sort out [at Valencia].

“But it doesn’t matter, who’s there.

“The class of 92 won’t be playing!

“Those players might be there at the ground but they can’t influence the game.

“There should be no fear factor around the place, with the Nevilles and the Man United connection.

“We are playing Salford City. Yes show them respect but go and show them what a good side we can be.”

Moore believes Valencia’s decision to appoint Gary Neville as their new head coach is a good move all around.

“It’s a great opportunity for Gary, there’s no doubt about that,” said Moore.

“He’s been doing a fantastic job on Sky Sports and he’s part of the England set-up too. I’m sure he can be a big success.”

Salford expect Gary Neville to be at the tie before flying back to Spain ahead of Valencia v Barcelona tomorrow.
